The project
Our journey with this particular client began with a request for a bathroom renovation.
We approached this project with our usual meticulous attention to detail, demonstrating our commitment to quality craftsmanship and client satisfaction.
This preliminary work laid the foundation for a much larger-scale renovation, ultimately encompassing the entire property. This would include a significant amount of construction work, the creation of a brand-new utility room, a full re-plastering of the property and much more.
The process
The project commenced with groundworks, including the removal of the existing conservatory and its foundations.
This was followed by the installation of new, robust foundations, providing a secure base for the structural changes to follow.
We then proceeded with the construction of new external walls and the installation of a new roof on the extension, significantly altering the property’s footprint and appearance.
This phase also involved the installation of bifold doors, seamlessly connecting the interior and exterior spaces, alongside new windows in the sunroom, enhancing natural light and creating a more inviting atmosphere.
The introduction of an apex roof and a lean-to roof added architectural interest and functional space, while the creation of a dedicated utility room addressed the client’s everyday needs.
Structural modifications were another key component of this renovation. We undertook the removal of existing brickwork and the strategic installation of steel girders, ensuring the structural integrity of the altered spaces.
This was followed by a full re-plastering of the entire property, providing a smooth, uniform finish ready for the chosen décor.
All electrical work was carried out with the utmost care and new radiators were installed throughout, guaranteeing warmth and comfort.
A bay window was introduced to enhance the property’s character and provide additional natural light, and a new front door was installed, improving both security and the overall look of the property.
Internal adjustments were made to existing doors, ensuring a cohesive flow throughout the home. Furthermore, a fire door and frame were installed, prioritising safety, and the existing boiler was relocated to accommodate the new and improved layout.
